Call for older adult participants - Join TAMU study,get $30 + $50GC (college station)

Dear Bryan / College Station residents: We’re inviting those who are over 55 years old to participate in a study conducted by a multidisciplinary research team from the School of Architecture, School of Public Health, and College of Arts and Sciences. This study aims to understand how outdoor thermal environments influence older adults’ thermal comfort. The outcome of this study will be an age-appropriate thermal comfort model developed for older adults and environmental planning guidelines to create comfortable built environments. Your participation helps us understand and mitigate heat-related health risks for millions of older adults!

You are eligible if you are:
- 55+ years of age
- Able to safely walk outdoors for 10 minutes
- Able to read and write in English or Spanish
- Do not have uncontrolled coronary heart disease, stroke, thyroid diseases, hypohidrosis, dementia, depression disorder, or anxiety disorder that impacts everyday activities.

Study Experience
- Participate in two 1-hour sessions (one in spring 2024 and one in summer 2024) on Texas A&M campus
- For each session, the activities include filling questionnaires, wearing a E4 wristwatch for physiological data, sitting quietly for 15 min at a campus location, and measuring ear temperatures

Compensation
Receive a $30 gift card for the first session completed and a $50 gift card for the second session completed (Total of $80)
