An historic, gorgeous piano lounge in a boutique hotel/restaurant in Santa Fe's beautiful plaza is seeking out-of-town singing-pianist talent to perform four nights a week for 4, 6 or 8 weeks. The shift pay is good and tips can be extraordinary as the venue attracts a wealthy, progressive clientele. The Baldwin grand piano is phenomenal and well-maintained, the room is large with high ceilings and acoustics are marvelous. The sound system is naturally resonant and perhaps best of all, the customers are substantially more respectful and attentive than most piano lounges. This is one of the longest-standing, special and large piano lounges in the country.
The ideal performers have a pleasant singing voice, engage with the audience in a friendly and confident manner and perform a variety of popular material, hopefully that the room can occasionally sing along with.
We are only seeking a total of 10 - 12 hours of performing work a week spread out over four nights in a row and you have three days off in a row to enjoy beautiful and quirky Santa Fe; and rough-and-tumble, much bigger but also beautiful Albuquerque is a 90-minute train ride away.
Shift pay is commensurate with experience and tips can average as much as $75 or $100 per hour for more popular performers.
Entertainers quarters are provided in a basement apartment on the premises with cable t.v. and an excellent, firm mattress in the full-size bed. Buffet breakfast provided every morning and an entertainer's menu for dinner provided on nights you work. Depending on where you're coming from, we can work out reasonable travel stipends.
This is a lovely opportunity with a very easy work schedule in an unusually supportive environment.
Please submit video clips of your singing and playing and if possible, a songlist. We have found offering songlists for customers to make requests significantly helps the performer and the room.
Thanks very much ! We hope to work with you in beautiful Santa FE !
