Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of drivers for hazardous materials pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure all shipments are accurately documented and compliant with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
• Review shipping orders, bills of lading, manifests, and permits for hazardous materials.
• Communicate with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure smooth execution of transportation plans.
• Monitor vehicle routes, locations, and compliance through GPS tracking systems or dispatch software.
• Serve as the point of contact for drivers, staff, vendors, maintenance shops, and customers.
• Maintain dispatch logs, records, and reports in accordance with company policies.
• Assist with attendance and maintenance reporting as needed to meet company goals.
Skills Competencies:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in dispatching or transportation in crude oil environment.
• Proficient in using dispatch software, Samsara, DC Crude, Motive, and GPS tracking systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and effectively.
• Organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call responsibilities if needed.
Work Environment:
The work environment includes exposure to hazardous materials, chemical fumes, noise, and temperature fluctuations. The role requires frequent use of communication systems, computers, and handling documents
