Here we have for sale a great Sansui 6060 AM/FM Receiver. It's in real nice shape. These models came with a vinyl wrapped cabinet and they just didn't age well, so this one has been redone with a real walnut veneer, more like a Sansui 8080 or 9090.
Electrical restoration included new capacitors and transistors on the audio and power supply boards. Protection circuit was overhauled and a new speaker protection relay installed. The amp driver board got 1% matched tarnsistor pairs for the differential stage with new drivers, bias trimmers and fuse resistors. New LED lights for the dial. The output transistors were cleaned and regreased on the heatsink. Larger filter cans (from 6800 to 10,000) were installed for more power storage.
Sansui used a part called a fuse resistor that was supposed to pop and save sections from damage. They basically don't work as intended and can fail for no reason, stopping the stereo from playing- so all the 1/4 watt fuse resistors are changed to normal types.
I grew up listening to my parents Sansui Eight Deluxe that they bought new. The music and sound that flowed from it is why I do what I do. It's still playing after 52 years! Pick this Sansui up for your home and enjoy the music today!
