We are looking for the right home for our overo patient mare. She has health conditions that limit riding potential, but she is sweet, well mannered, and would make excellent companion, liberty or groundwork partner, pasture pet, or possibly light use with the right care.
Lola is a 16-year-old FLASHY and stout overo paint mare standing 14.1 hands. The vet has diagnosed her with arthritis in her hocks and changes in her spinal processes. We have started her on a daily dose of Equioxx (Firocoxib). We are offering her as a companion, liberty or groundwork partner, pasture pet, or possibly light use with the right care. She would be great for grand kids to love on and walk/trot. She is calm and respectful on the ground. Loves attention. Easy to catch. First one to come to you in the pasture. Not mareish – no kick or bite. No problem with fly spray or blankets. Stays fat on air. Stands for farrier and vet. Loads and ties. UTD on shots, dental, farrier, and deworming. Vet records available.
