$150 for a rooster and 4 hens and 5 chicks. Two of these groups are available. Also available ~10 chicks ages of 5-10 weeks for $10. If you take the whole flock it is $325
Bresse Chickens have been described as the best-tasting chicken in the world, especially in France. They are known for the fat marbling and rich flavor. Refered to as"the queen of poultry" and "poultry of kings". They grow very rapidly until they reach their adult weight of up to 8.5 pounds. But also a true dual purpose bird producing nearly an egg a day.
Additionally, the drive to forage appears to be built into their genetic code. The long-standing French practice of feeding low protein feeds has resulted in birds that forage heavily for bugs, worms, and other nutrition. In our experience they go through feed at about half the rate our other chickens do.
